There are many products that are aimed at relieving a sore throat that you can buy over the counter. These include lozenges (some of which deliver vitamins, some of which deliver pain medicine) which may numb your throat, throat sprays that directly apply the numbing agent to your throat, vitamins, cold remedies which contain a variety of pain killers, decongestants, etc, megadose vitamins, pills with zinc which is supposed to help a cold go away faster, etc.
Some may work for some people and not for other people. If OTC medication works for you to help relieve your sore throat, then that’s great! If not, you’re probably on this page looking for other ideas.
