Cayenne Pepper Gargle

Gargling water with cayenne pepper in it has been claimed to help relieve a sore throat.  Care should probably be taken to avoid this method if you have any type of scratches or cuts in your throat, as you don’t want to get pepper in there.

The recipe calls for a class of warm water and a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.  Mix them up, gargle and spit it out.  You might want to hold your breath so you don’t taste it too much.  Most people don’t like spicy drinks!

You can do the entire glass in one session (gargling and spitting as much as you can at a time) or you can spread it out over a period of time.  Experiment and see if it works for you at all or not.

Some people may also add lemon juice and maple syrup to taste.
